Happy Fall my fellow Floridians!
And for us that means, well, basically nothing. 2 days worth of sweater weather, no leaves changing, etc. The only thing the same here, in the sunshine state, with the rest of the country is my latest addiction Pumpkin Spice Latte. (Yeah, I hopped on that train this year. No regrets)
While we don’t exactly have fall, we do still (kind of) have pumpkin patches and the desire to take adorable Fall Photoshoots! I see a lot of people dressing up in sweaters, going to the patch, and “pretending” it’s fall enough so they can get those sweet pictures in and that’s just not realistic. I’m here to give you ladies a few tips on how you can get your perfect fall pictures while including your Florida style!
It’s not necessary to wear warm sweaters and scarves when that’s just not reality down here. Pick something a little lighter, still in the fall color scheme, that is bright and fun! I decided to go with this green flowy ruffled romper from this adorable little boutique called Lemorá.
I was excited to partner with Lemorá for this post because they are a company founded on charity. Every purchase made contributes to micro-loans awarded to women around the world striving to support their families and improve their communities through entrepreneurship. Now that’s something I can get on board with! They have tons of adorable and fun options that are perfect for the fall season (weather it be in Florida or the rest of the country).
When styling my Fall photoshoot, I had the perfect outfit but I just felt it needed a little something more. After brainstorming and searching I found the perfect flower head piece from Amazon for a whopping $13. It was affordable, realistic, and the perfect touch to my “sweet” fall look.
Another thing to take into consideration is location, location, location. In Florida we don’t exactly have farm fields full of Pumpkin, so we have to improvise. I found this darling church in my town that had a Pumpkin Patch and we went on a Thursday evening hoping to not have too many other people (or cars from the road) in our shots. A lot of this is also finding the right angle. We spent a lot of time strategically trying to place ourselves in the frame with the pumpkins and without the people. A little challenging but definitely doable and worth it!
Another cute outfit option, seen below, that’s a little more casual is how my friend Tiffany over at Arrows and Awe dressed. She went with sandals, jeans, a white tank top, and a plaid long sleeved shirt. This look is a total fall classic; however, instead of wearing the plaid shirt when it’s 90 degrees out side, she tied it around her waste for a cooler outfit with the perfect touch of Fall! Sometimes it’s best to go with the classics and tweak them to your style/weather situation.
