Hello Fellow Wanderlusters!
If there is one thing that I can’t preach enough to people when they are traveling it’s comfortability is important! I have seen so many people sitting on 10 hour international flights with a face full of make up, wearing tight jeans, uncomfortable shoes etc. and they just look… miserable.
Something I never do when I am on a flight for 6 hours or longer is wear make up. I personally don’t see the point as your spending the majority of the time sitting in a seat where no one sees you. My biggest reason is – on long flights you often sleep and it’s just annoying when you wake up and your mascara is all over your face… Yuck. And lastly, I like to wash my face during/after the flight to feel a bit more fresh and avoid my face breaking out from travel. (I will usually put a bit of make-up on and change into jeans in the airport bathroom when I get to my final destination to feel a bit more together.)
But anyways, my point is that while of course we want to look our best when traveling, feeling comfortable (especially on long distance flights) is just as important. Now does that mean you need to sacrifice one for the other? Absolutely NOT. You just have to find what your comfortable in and can imagine sitting comfortably (and most of the time sleeping in) for 10+ hours.
Above is my formula for the perfect international travel outfit that incorporates the 3 C’s – Cute, comfy, casual.
Below you can see my favorite travel look which includes the most amazing Spanx Leggings (they suck evvverything in), a comfy chunky cardigan by Free People, scarf, tank, and my favorite Blondo waterproof booties!
