So it’s been about two weeks since I’ve came to Germany from the U.S. and it has been a blur. I’m still trying to figure this whole thing out. I’m considering going back to school to get my Masters in Marketing but I also don’t wan’t to be with out work for to long.
I’ve only been unemployed for a few weeks and not having an income stream already makes me nervous. I’ve had a job since my Freshman year of college so not having one is reallllllyyyyyy weird for me, especially since I’ve been working full time for the past year.
That being said, I have settled in, unpacked, and it feels great to not be living out of a suit case. We live in an adorable house with a room mate who is extremely nice. (We’re definitely lucky, I’ve had nightmare room mates in the past.) And I’m enjoying how easy it is to walk to the grocery store from our place. I also love being able to use public transportation considering this isn’t really something we have back in Florida.
Last night I went to the movies with my boyfriend and some friends where we saw The Commuter – it was pretty good from what I could understand… (Yep the movie was in German!) It wasn’t the first time I’ve been to a movie in German, I saw Despicable Me a few years ago, but I will say it’s much easier to tell what’s going on when it isn’t a cartoon!
On Sunday we made a stop by the castle closest to us, Burg Frankenstein. It’s mostly ruins, considering it was built in the 1200’s, but it is still an absolutely breathtaking view of the surrounding areas. The craziest part is on one side of the castle you can view the beautiful trees and green valley below and on the other side it’s totally snow!
You can check out about my move along with some of the stuff I’ve done in the past few weeks in my Move To Germany VLOG below!
